Pike Hospitality Policies and Rules

Every employee must take proper care of all company equipment that and not take any company belongings home or use for my personal use. Upon termination, all Pike Hospitality Group property must be returned in proper working order. I understand that I may be held financially responsible for lost or damaged property. This property includes, but is not limited to vacuums, mops, cleaning supplies, linen and other tools and supplies. Failure to return tools and supplies will be considered theft and may lead to criminal prosecution by Pike Hospitality Group.

Every employee will practice professionalism at work, will offer assistance to guests if such is required, will address the guests and teammates in a polite and respectful manner. Conversations regarding personal life during work hours result in loss of productivity and gossip results in low team morale. Every employee agrees to refrain from gossiping and will not engage in personal conversations for longer than 2-3 minutes while at work.

Every employee will follow state guidelines regarding breaks: one 10-minute break every 3 hours for which the employee does not have to clock out. After 5 hours worked a 30 minute break is allowed for which the employee must clock out.

Every employee expected to complete their job duties with skill, thoroughness and within a reasonable goal time as instructed by the team leaders. Employees agree to work on improving my quality and timing if they happen to be behind on either. It is understood that if an employee consistently fails to make the target quality and timing the employment may be terminated.

Tardiness and unscheduled absences are a serious violation of company rules as it puts stress on the rest of the team and results in negative guest feedbacks. It is considered serious misconduct if an employee does not provide at least 24 - hour advanced notice of missing a shift (with the exception of certain medical emergencies - documentation required) If an employee is more than 10 minutes late on 5 different occasions, the company may take disciplinary actions.

Requests for time off need to be submitted in writing to info@pikehg.com at least 10 days prior and are subject to approval. Pike Hospitality Group is a business that is open during all public holidays therefore employees are expected to work thier scheduled shifts during holidays and time off during holidays is subject to availability. Holiday pay of 1.5 wages is provided on Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. All other holidays are at normal wage rate.

Pike Hospitality may take disciplinary actions against employees who repeatedly or intentionally fail to follow the above rules. Possible consequences include: suspension or termination, demotion, detraction of benefits for a definite or indefinite time. Pike Hospitality may take legal action in cases of corruption, theft, embezzlement or other unlawful behavior.
